If you have ever wondered just where the Top 10 Wildflower Sites in Western Australia are, well Luxury Outback Tours would like to share their secrets with you! We have been taking small groups around Western Australia for many years now and have compiled this list just for you!

So here we go…..

10. The ‘Zig Zag’ at Gooseberry Hill

Zig Zag is just out of Perth always great wildflowers and with superb views of Perth City and Metropolitan area.

      Hot Tip…. go in September.

9. Pemberton

Pemberton is in the in the centre of the Karri forest.  Visit the Gloucester tree, 60 Metre high with a look out a top of the tree used in earlier times for fire spotting.

Tip. Go for a walk on one of the three trails adjacent to the Gloucester Tree.

8. Mount Magnet

Mount Magnet is a great location to see Everlastings. Good rains season there are fantastic displays from about mid-August to about mid-September.

   Tip. Check out the Granites an escarpment about 15 metres high. Caves formed in the soft granite have fantastically sculptured surfaces formed by the small curved quartz veins in the granite.

7. Meelup Beach

Meelup Beach has a walking path towards Castle Rock. Take you camera for terrific view and the wildflowers, awesome. Tip. Pack a picnic.

6. Stirling Range National Park

Stirling Ranges National Park is the second major hotspot for wildflower biodiversity in WA. Drive through the ranges on the very scenic Stirling Range Drive any time during the late winter and spring you are sure to spot loads of different species of flora.

5. Corrigin Region

Corrigin region – join the Track around the back of the Airport to discover interesting changes of breakaway and sandy soil with colourful array of flora.

   Tip visit the special Dog Cemetery.

4. Tarin Rock

Tarin Rock -Look for the extraordinary Lance-leaved Tinsel Flower and Grevillia

   Tip. In the Lake Grace area there are amazing salt lakes for the photographer to show off their artistic skills.

3. Albany

The Albany region has many areas to explore for wildflowers.

   Tip. The Wind Farm, Torndirup National Part and Two People Bay Nature Reserve provides plenty to see and hear.

2. Kings Park

Kings Park -No one should leave Western Australia without visiting this highly acclaimed Botanical Gardens. It shows off flora from all the regions with in WA. Ideal time to visit is the Spring Festival during September.

1.  Fitzgerald National Park!!!

is the major Hot Spot in Western Australia! The Fitzgerald River National Park is recognised as one of the most botanically significant parks in Australia.

   Tip. Be prepared to stay for three or four days in this region. The South Coast is nothing short of spectacular and the flora and fauna with delight.
